Our Mission:
Support & Educate.
We're a local non-profit working in the Turks & Caicos to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and eliminating the stigma and discrimination associated with the illness in the community.
We're a local non-profit working in the Turks & Caicos to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and eliminating the stigma and discrimination associated with the illness in the community.
We have the support of many local businesses and individuals throughout Turks and Caicos along with generous visitors to the islands who live overseas. These donors not only contribute to our day to day operation, but play an important role in the successful execution of our annual fund raisers.
The TCAAF impacts the lives of the youths in Providenciales through the Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre where we empower teenagers with the information, skills and confidence they need to cope with the challenges of daily life. The TCAAF dedicates its time to fundraising efforts to implement informative and fun programs that engage young people and dispel myths about HIV/AIDS.
We also thrive to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Turks and Caicos Islands and its rippling, negative affects on the community through increased education and awareness.
New efforts are made every year to strengthen our relationship with the National HIV Prevention Unit and directly impact the lives of the people living with HIV/AIDS in the TCI. In our belief, providing necessary health and medical assistance, will affect positive lifestyle and behavioural changes.
The TCAAF has helped hundreds of individuals in need throughout the Turks & Caicos Islands.
The foundation has been active in the local community since 2003 offering essential HIV-related services to those in need.
Through the ongoing work by our committed team and fantastic volunteers we’ve impacted the lives thousands since 2003.
TCAAF allows for service providers and funders to come together to develop systems that meet the needs of those living with HIV/AIDS and to maximize the use of scarce resources. By assisting government HIV Unit with counseling, testing and health monitoring, TCAAF helps in developing medical monitoring expertise and promotes high-quality delivery of programs to our youths.
Please contact the Turks and Caicos AIDS Awareness Foundation to request counseling services. We will provide you with a counselor to appropriately assist you .
We hold many fundraisers throughout the year which requires volunteers and events with Silent Auctions that often requires unique items. For information on how to make a donation of your precious time or a treasure to TCAAF please contact us
